The last few months of 2017 are going to get a dose of history with a new web series that plans to bring ancient Egypt to the present day—Valley of the Queens. Created by filmmaker Kevin Parkinson, Valley of the Queens is a web series that follows Nefertiti, a young woman from ancient Africa who is given a second chance by God to live her purpose. She is resurrected by Elohim to bring truth to a new generation of Africans worldwide. Complete with action and new ideas, this is a fun new web series with its backdrop being modern day USA. Produced by Vinmark Motion Pictures, Valley of the Queens stars Lyric Donnell and Alexzander Rogers.

Besides Valley of the Queens, Parkinson is the Media Director for Kingdom in the Valley Church in Phoenix, Arizona and an HBCU Graduate (SHAW University). When asked about the creation of the web series, Parksinson says, “I have always been fascinated with the history of ancient Egypt. That plus my strong desire to tell black stories, lead me to create The Valley of the Queens.

Recently, I had the pleasure of watching the first episode of Valley of the Queens and it was very entertaining. Parkinson definitely has a great concept with the show and I cannot wait to see what he comes up with for episode two & beyond. I’m excited to see Nefertiti’s journey to fulfill her destiny in the world and just see how it all plays out in the present day. Will she succeed? I guess we, the viewers, will have to see and find out!
