Recently, a new web series entered the Black Talent TV family with an introductory post featuring a behind the scenes video and that web series is called The One. Created by Chris Hodge & Kristina Sullivan(who also stars in the web series), The One is a drama & comedy that “explores what can happen when you re-connect with ‘The One’ that got away.” Hodge, who also directs the web series, describes the show as “a dream project” that he & Sullivan have been working on since 2012. Besides Sullivan, The One stars Sekori Russel, Alonzo Williams, Franchesca Agramonte, Zuri Willis, Marston Fobbs, Ivonnah Erskine, James Surman, and Brandon Valley Jones.

When I first read the synopsis on The One, I really liked the premise of the show since most of us are pretty much searching for “the one” in our lives. However, most of us have been in a predicament where we realize a past lover was “the one that got away” and we’d do anything to get a chance to be with them again. I think The One will shed light on this to really help us appreciate the significant other we are currently with or whether we lost a chance on being with “the one” in the past.

In the first episode, Troy, a young hip-hop producer is invited to a Valentine’s Day Party he won’t soon forget. I titled this episode “Do Not Go Down That Pipedream Again” because a certain character says this and to find out who, you must watch the premiere of The One below.
