With the year quickly coming to a close, a slew of artists are making their mark to take over 2017 and one of them is Josh X. Singer/Producer/Musician Josh X recently released “Heaven on My Mind,” the first single off his upcoming debut album, Black Excellence, which is due out Spring/Summer 2017. Currently trending on Billboard.com at #44, “Heaven on My Mind” features Love & Hip Hop star Cardi B.
Josh X is no stranger to success in the music business as he has written chart topping music for Super Producers Swizz Beatz, Jerry Wonder and Brian “Birdman” Williams and collaborated with mega Hip Hop stars Lil Wayne, Mac Miller, Bun B, Jim Jones, Nipsey Hustle, Ghostface, Ace Hood, Waka Flocka Flame, Jadakiss, and Rocko. Some of Josh’s work includes hits like “Ready to Go,” co-written for FOX’s number one hit show Empire and Pepsi-Cola, and “Selfish” for Cardi B. Even music legend Stevie Wonder is a fan of Josh’s music and even states, “Josh continues to carry out the legacy of being a musician that represents real music!”
After listening to the single, I believe “Heaven on My Mind” will propel Josh X to stardom. Josh’s voice is amazing and the chorus is easy to sing along to. On top of that, Cardi B’s verse is fantastic and truly proves that she’s a great rapper. Josh is currently on a 10-city promotional tour in support of “Heaven on My Mind”, cities include; New York, Washington DC, Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Detroit and Miami. Josh will then embark on a Haiti national tour starting in January with Haiti’s own, Sandro Martelly, son of Haiti’s former President.
