Check out our interview with Faven Liuget where she discusses WAGS: Miami, her fashion line for the MACEOO brand, what’s next for her, and more below.

1-Growing up, did you always know that you wanted to be in the public eye?

I have always known I would do something that would help others. Not specifically in the public eye but I’ve always been interested in sharing my ideas with others.

2-How did you end up getting cast on WAGS: Miami?

I was contacted for WAGS: Miami through my management firm.

3-Were you reluctant to do reality TV?

I was very reluctant about doing reality TV. I wasn’t sure if I was willing to share my life with millions of people. Corey and I are very private for the most part, so this was a huge decision for both of us. In the end, we knew we both are very passionate about my fashion line. This would give me the perfect opportunity to let millions of people see my clothing line. Corey has been very supportive throughout the process—we make a really incredible team.

4-Have you ever watched WAGS or WAGS: Miami before?

Yes, I’ve seen a few episodes of WAGS and WAGS: Miami before; I’ve always found it to be very entertaining…lots of woman with strong personality. I loved a few of the cast from just watching the show.

5-Who surprised you at the start of filming to now? Why?

Darnell surprised me from our first day filming. We are friends so it was easy to film with her. But she truly gives 100% who is she each and every day. She helps everyone out. She is the first person I feel like all of our cast members call for advice. She is just such an inspiration—amazing mother, friend and daughter. I love everything about her.

6-What can fans expect from season two of WAGS: Miami?

Fans can expect to see a group of strong women with a variety or personalities Also, woman truly loving and supporting on another—motivating each other in our individual business ventures. Of course we have some major drama too. This season is definitely one to watch.

7-Besides being on WAGS: Miami, you’re also a fashion designer with MACEOO. What was your inspiration behind the brand?

I love designing suits. American MACEOO is my 3rd child. I love everything about designing these suits. The idea came after seeing my husband have such difficulty with the way his suits fit. He can never find suits that “fit” him right. He would spend his time and money on custom suits and it would always end up with disappointment. I have always loved fashion and have dabbled in design from time to time.

I was presented with an opportunity to team up with a designer who I always followed and respected. I was given the opportunity to create my own line for the MACEOO brand. My very first customer was Corey. I knew he would be honest about the fit and look of the suit—he was my toughest critic but I knew it was because he saw my potential. Now, 20 suits later, Corey has perfectly designed suits that are tailored to his body type.

8-What do you hope viewers will understand about you after watching WAGS: Miami?

I hope the viewers can see how passionate and dedicated I am to my family, my friends and my work.  I was born in Ethiopia and came to the United States when I was five years old. I believe that it was through this journey that I was thought the value of relentless hard work.  My mother was such a strong woman and always pushed me to work hard and to always strand for what I believe in and say what is on my mind. At times, I may say things most people wouldn’t say and I think that stems from my passionate and honest disposition. I am loyal to a truly, truly love hard, and I thank God each and every day for all of my blessings. Through the good and the bad, I am a child of GOD before anything else.

9-What advice would you give to someone who wants to do reality TV or become a fashion designer?

I would say, if it’s something you are interest in and you have the opportunity then go for it. For me, it was important to have a purpose behind the decision, not just to be in the limelight but to help bring awareness to my passions and projects. I would say to remember that this is reality TV—it’s not all real. Don’t take everything personal. Make sure you always understand what your goal is in the end. Don’t worry too much about what people are going to say, people will talk either way. Have a great support system like my amazing, understand and supportive husband. I wouldn’t have been able to do this show if it was not for him. He is truly my backbone. He kept me grounded throughout the process.

10-What’s NEXT for Faven Liuget?

I’m definitely going to continue to pursue fashion and expand my line with MACEOO. It comes easy to me and it gives my butterflies. That’s how I know I am fulfilling my dreams—every day is exciting for me.
