ACID OF THE GODZ IS THE WHAT THE COMIC WORLD HAS BEEN MISSING!
Acid of the Godz, a character driven epic fantasy saga is about four heroes’s who join forces to find an ancient artifact to stop an eminent threat. Anubis Heru, the creator, has launched a 30 day Kickstarter campaign to help publish the graphic novel so that we all can be part of this legacy.
Anubis started acting and drawing at the age of nine and continues to act in short films and music videos. He honed in on his writing and directing skills at Colorado Film School. After an emergency brain tumor surgery, it took Anubis six months to relearn how to walk and use fine motor skills. Once healed he decided to get serious with his artistic career. He created a lifestyle brand in the hospital called Urban Arkanum and created several screenplays and manuscripts.
Acid of the Godz is a story inspired by a disconnect in the comic book world. He grew up reading comic books from DC, Marvel and Image. As a child, he also watched television shows like He-Man, Jonny Quest,Superman and so forth. As an adult he realized that all the heroes he enjoyed did not reflect his culture or look anything like him. This created some interesting self esteem issues during his teenage years and he decided that this was not acceptable for his future children.“The message that I want to send is that very soon the big three will no longer have the monopoly on the comic book industry,” said Anubis Heru, Creator, Acid of The Godz. “This is the age of the indie creator! With crowd funding platforms such as Patreon and KickStarter, creators like myself can thrive.”
Acid of the Godz has an international following of 40,000 in a year, without releasing a single issue.”The Crowd funding campaign on Kickstarter is a 30 day campaign ending August 22, 2017 to raise $25000 in capital. The capital will be used for printing the comic book, secure manufacturing for action figures and create an animated short. We have created some very unique rewards for our campaign backers including:
