Mrs. Harris is an international social media influencer with approximately 204 thousand Instagram followers. As a stylist influencer, she has created a large clientele base from all over the world. Stasha’s signature natural hair styling, including locs and braiding, has elevated the engagement and conversation about protective styling and textured hair.
Stasha M. Harris has been styling hair for as long as she could remember. At an early age, she always knew she wanted to be a hair stylist and entrepreneur. Her biggest supporter has been her mother who got her an internship as an assistant at a local hair salon in Trinidad when she was just 13 years old. At the age of 16, she arrived in New York ready to attain financial freedom, independence and industry knowledge. She received her training at Empire Beauty School. As a New York State licensed cosmetologist, Stasha has been trained on multi-textured hair, nails, and skin; but fell in love with the full range of creativity of naturally textured hair and protective styling.
In 2009, at the age of 21, Mrs. Harris opened Tempted To Touch Salon in Brooklyn, where she is currently the Lead Stylist and Educator for her 8 natural hair technicians. Her salon has since been renamed “MagicFingersStudio”, of which a second location has opened on October 15th, 2017. Stasha is known for her signature sculpting artistry, where her skillfulness in parting takes on an art form. She specializes in the braids that are trending all over the world.
As a celebrity stylist, she has done numerous models, dancers, and actors, including Shameik Moore, Serayah aka Tiana from the hit show “Empire”, Young MA, and Wale to name a few. She was also a part of a social experiment where her work was featured on VH1.
As an educator, Stasha has participated in several natural hair events, including the Natural Hair Industry Convention in Baltimore Maryland. To date, she has also done several features with Shake-N-Go, Creme of Nature and Cosmopolitan Magazine. With her entrepreneurial spirit, she has produced several in-salon workshops featuring the most trending braid techniques.
Stasha M. Harris is just beginning her entrepreneurial adventure. Her vision is to open a Franchise full-service natural hair salon/spa with massage and nail services. She wants to offer the community a “one-stop shop” that’s clean, proficient and professional. Her salon/spa will be a nurturing, relaxing space, where the clients’ time will be honored and minimized.
