Los Angeles, California (March 21, 2018) – Actor Eric Lane (Empire, Barbershop, Trapped in the Closet) has landed a guest star role in the FOX comedy pilot entitled ‘Rel’ which stars Lil Rel Howery (Get Out, The Carmichael Show), Angel Laketa Moore (Black-ish, ER) and Jordan L. Jones. The pilot is Written and Executive produced by Lil Rel, Kevin Barnett and Josh Rabinowitz (The Carmichael Show). Also on board are Executive Producers Jerrod Carmichael (The Carmichael Show), Mike Scully (The Carmichael Show), and Gerry Cohen.
Inspired by Howery’s real life, this multi-camera Pilot from 20th Century Fox TV centers on Lil Rel who is a prideful, self-made success who lives by the code to “always believe in yourself and great things will come.” Rel finds this attitude put to the test when he learns his wife is having an affair with his own barber. He tries to rebuild his life post-divorce as a long-distance single father on the West Side of Chicago who’s on a quest for love, respect and a new barber.

Eric Lane will play the role of Frank, Rel’s barber.
