LaFonda Baker Talks about her Role Fox’s show Lucifer and talks about getting complimented by and working with Emmy Award winning Actress Ellen Barkin.
LaFonda Baker is an actress who appeared in Lucifer on Fox and has a recurring role opposite Emmy award winner Ellen Barkin in Season 3 of Animal Kingdom. LaFonda has been trained by working actor and villain-extraordinaire Brett Rickaby (The Crazies / Bereavement) and the late, great R.J. Adams (Actor, Director, Producer).
Born in Sacramento, CA, LaFonda spent most of her childhood in Stockton, CA where she won awards writing essays, short stories, and for her public speaking skills. Upon graduating from Franklin High school, she seriously considered majoring in fine art as she also had an affinity for painting and drawing and won awards and honorable mentions doing so; but decided to do what she loved most and pursued theater at San Joaquin Delta College.
In 2011 LaFonda was honored with a 30 Under 30 Award by The Sacramento Observer for creating and facilitating a theater arts program for 6-10-year old’s at The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Sacramento. There, she taught various children stage production, planning, writing, marketing, and acting. She also had the pleasure of teaching her greatest creation and joy of her life, her son Jack, who also attended the program. Now at 16, Jack has hopes of becoming a computer programmer and video game creator. LaFonda enjoys cooking, writing, watching movies, and visiting theme parks with her boyfriend, Musician/Actor and Apollo winner Jesse Mitchell.
LaFonda looks forward to working with more legendary actors in the future and specifically hopes to work with living legends Angela Basset and Shonda Rhimes.
