The web series follows the life of Bern, a teen who was diagnosed with Selective Mutism as a child, but after winning a rap freestyle contest, Bern must learn how to navigate the challenges of his new found fame.
Keyon is excited to be part of the production of the upcoming web series, The Life of Bern. He moved to Los Angeles after graduating from SUNY Purchase College in New York. He’s done various roles for short films, commercials, and theater before landing the title role of Bern where he plays an introverted teenager who uses hip hop to find his voice. When he’s not acting he enjoys reading, getting to experience new cultures and is a sports fanatic.
Moe is a Oakland/S.F., Bay Area native. She relocated to Southern California and graduated from CSU, Northridge earning a master’s degree in Screenwriting and receiving the Abraham L. Polonsky Screenwriting Award; which recognizes creative work with themes of social consciousness.
Moe continues to explore many avenues of storytelling with the completion of her independent documentary, The Killing of the 5th Element, which is about the conscious era of hip-hop, and now she is the creator of the new web series, The Life of Bern.
