Said best by novelist, playwright, journalist, and biographer Stefan Zweig, “No guilt is forgotten so long as the conscience still knows of it,” and this quote definitely applies to a recent web series. Based on the short film of the same name, Timeless Guilt follows Darnell who, after walking home with his daughter, witnesses two men kidnapping a little girl. As he shouts “What’s going on” a kidnapper recognizes Darnell and threatens him and his daughter. Now being questioned from two detectives, Darnell will have to make a choice—but will his choice be the right one or will that choice catch up with him and his love ones? Written and directed by Benny Flames, the Timeless Guilt web series picks up one year after the short film.
Starring Lavon Collins, Lauren Cooper, Patrick Hevaghan, Devin Coleman, Jerome Williams, Niguel Modeste, Jennalyn Boyd, Yuri Collins, Angelica Gervais, Steven Whaul, and Benny Flames himself, the Timeless Guilt short film is truly fantastic! From the very beginning to the end, I couldn’t help but wonder what would happen next. Flames did a fantastic job at portraying an innocent father who did something out of the kindness of his heart and now his & his daughter’s lives are affected for the worse.
Episode one of the Timeless Guilt web series, which now features Claudia Nell McCoy, Cal Fore, Tanzania Hugie, Emmanuel Anzules, Robert Aloi, Juvian Marquez, Micheal Erik, and Free, definitely proves that the kidnapping in the short film is affecting more than just Darnell. The web series is just as great, if not better, than the short film and gives the audience/fans more interesting characters & storylines to get to know.
