Harstco Moving Pictures will hold a public screening of the film The Education of a Negro on Sunday June 30th in North Hollywood (CA) Email info@harstco.com for your complimentary pass.

The Education of a Negro follows Kenny, who has a good life with his girlfriend J.J. in the Twin Cities, until his brother Kirk is killed by a cop under suspicious circumstances. The cop is charged and a chance revelation about the trial forces Kenny to confront the one thing black people have feared for over 400 years…white supremacy.

The film stars two dynamic newcomers, Kendrix Lamaz Brown (Kenny) and Alisa Murray (J.J.), in a narrative that artfully draws sharp parallels between today’s fraught social and political climate with the burning 1960’s.

The Education of a Negro is bold, big and bodacious in both scope and talent, and with over 50 actors it is already in contention for prime time screening at over 25 film festivals.

There will be a day party immediately following for all screening attendees.
