About Camille Friend
In this era of celebrity hair stylists and makeup artists, Los Angeles based Camille Friend is one to watch. As long as she can remember, she has always wanted to be in the beauty business. Coming from a family of hairstylists, she spent her youth in salons; developing skills and product knowledge that gained her entry into the world of hairstyling at the tender age of 17; thus beginning her professional career.
Camille moved from Tempe, Arizona to Los Angeles to pursue her dreams. Within two years, she established herself as a prominent hairstylist in Los Angeles.
She went on to explore opportunities that led to a successful career as a professional hair and makeup artist; she landed a coveted position with Sebastian International as a platform instructor and color specialist. Training with Vidal Sassoon and John Atchinson to learn and master precision haircutting techniques. All of these opportunities and extensive training helped to prepare her for a future in entertainment. By 26, she was on her way to becoming a forerunner in the Film and TV industry.
Camille’s current credits run the spectrum of film, television, print and music videos. Some of her film credits include: DREAMGIRLS, THE HELP, PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS, ROCK OF AGES, DJANGO UNCHAINED, HUNGER GAMES – MOCKINGJAY PTS 1 & 2, CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER, CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, MILES AHEAD, THE HATEFUL EIGHT, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 and most recently: MARVEL STUDIOS’ BLACK PANTHER.
Her ingenious talents reflect her ability to design and groom period looks that require her expertise with lace front wigs. Camille has worked with such talent as: Elizabeth Banks, Samuel L Jackson, Christophe Waltz, Jennifer Lawrence, Don Cheadle, Lupita N’yongo, Octavia Spencer, Sarah Chalke and Julianne Hough, to name a few.
