While some might find love at a club or school, the main character in a new short film found love on a “Lyft” home. Written, produced, directed, and starring Crystal E. Green(Young, Broke, and Married), Love Lyfted Me is a holiday short about a woman, Love(Green), who gets taken to the airport through the Lyft app. While the drive was a bumpy one, sparks flew between both characters. Also starring Arthur Davis(Dating Savannah Love) as Terrence, the Lyft driver, Love Lyfted Me was released this past Christmas.
I recently had the pleasure of watching the entire short film and I was hooked the beginning to the end. Although I’ve already seen both Green and David in Young, Brooke, and Married, they are much more amazing in Love Lyfted Me. The chemistry between both of them was nothing short of magical. I especially enjoyed the last scene where both Love & Terrence started verbally questioning themselves as to why they didn’t make a move on the other person. I found this part of the project SO relatable because most individuals talk to themselves in moments like these to pep themselves up to actually make moves.
In all, Love Lyfted Me is a marvelous short film that has the best of all worlds—romance, great actors, and nice music to go along with each and every scene. I sometimes found myself even nodding my head back and forth to the wonderful music in this short film.
